Note the use of 'school use' this is the key word in the whole sentence. Your parents will probably think that you need it to buy books, or excursions. But you probably just need it for that extra meal you eat during school hours or to play a few arcade games after schoolfinishes.
2. The price of stuff have all gone up recently.
The price have not really gone up at all. It is just the fact that you are buying more expensive stuff or eating at better cafes or restaurants. But your parents don't know that.
3. Dad, Mom didn't give me any allowance this week.
Although your mother has already given you your allowance, your parents are probably so busy with work that the chances of them actually talking to each other and finding out your little white lie is pretty slim.

Your girlfriend can be real or make believe.If make believe, when your parents ask to see this girl just tell them you guys just broke up. If real, this doesn't really help much as they will suck all the money out of you.

will make me happier, depending on the amount.
Most parents want their children to do well at school, so a proposition such as this is quite useful in getting some extra money. If your parents see you as somewhat of a lost hope, then this strategy is useless to you.
7. All my friends get more money than me and that makes me feel inferior.
Another plan that usually works, parents hate their children to be inferior to others, therefore forking out a little extra will be a breeze.
8. Olympic Special - I need extra money because all the prices have skyrocketed due to the Olympics.
The Olympics are pretty much everywhere and everything for September and october, so what better way to get into the Olympic spirit than using it for your own gains.
9. With the Australian Dollar at a record low, everything will be more expensive now.
This is actually true to some point, but it really does not justify you getting some extra allowance. But your parents have probably seen the many news stories on the TV and papers about the bad state of the AUD, so they should not argue much with you and hand the money over with no real commotion.
10. Can you give me some extra spending cash please?
Often the simplest and most straight forward methods are the best. Coming out and asking for the money nicely will almost always get you something in return. After all, most parents love their children. Don't they?
