PostScoring.
There is no comparison here, Sabonisis far superior, although he is as slow as a Volvo running on a lawnmower engine. The big Lithuanian does have a plethora of good looking post moves. ( captured in super slow mo ) On the other hand, Zan has a plethora of nothing. The only time he gets near the low post on offense sets are when the coach calls for a 3-pt barrage.
Score. Tabak 1 defeats Sabonis 5.
Blocking.
Sabonis can't jump because he is over forty years old and weighs a hefty 292lbs. Therefore rejecting anyone above the height of 5 ft 5 inches will be impossible for him. Tabak though, is just plain unatheletic. Just getting off the bench is hard enough for him, let alone getting up in the air for a block.
Score. Tabak 0 draws Sabonis 0.
Rebounding.
Sabonis is not bad at 7.8rpg, although he should really dominate the boards at his monstrous size. A lack of verticle leap again hurts the big man here. On the other hand, Tabak can rebound pretty good, if he was still in prep school. In the N.B.A he is what I call a P.I.R ( permanent injured reserve ) player. No contest Tabak wins.
Score. Tabak 1. Defeats Sabonis 6.
Shooting.
At 7 ft 2 inches, Sabonis shoots better than some SGs and SFs in the league. Regularly canning the open 20 footers. This is one area of his game which is really excellent. What can we say about poor Zan? He still thinks hitting the backboard will get you 1 point.
Score. Tabak 1 defeats Sabonis 8.
CareerAchievements.
Sabonis ; Getting dunked on while being kicked in the crown Jewels by Shaq in the 1999/2000 Western conference finals, at the same time which he was drawing a personal foul. Tabak, well maybe Being mistaken for Gumby on the streets of Houston.
Score. Tabak 0 defeats Sabonis 3.
FinalVerdict.
Why even bother to count, Tabak goes to round 2.
