Story. Roberto Baggio joins Brecia. By George Wang. Much maligned Italian striker Roberto Baggio has finally signed a two year deal with Serie A club Brecia. The former Italian international will reportedly earn $2.3m per year in his two year contract. Included in the contract is a special clause that allows Baggio to leave the club if they happen to be relegated to Serie B.	Roberto Baggio is the largest signing of Brescia's history. The former Juventus, AC Milan and Inter star is expected to help the small Serie A club avoid relegation this season. Baggio's first match will be against his old club juventus in an Italian cup match.

Story. Barca Distroy Leeds. By George Wang. 90,000 fans at the Newcamp witnessed Barcelona demolish Leeds United in their first Champion Leagues match. Barca won 4-0 after Rivaldo, Kluivert, Overmars and Frank DeBoer all scored one goal each. The atmosphere after the game can only be described as frantic and jubilant as the Barca fans were ecstatic over the result.

Story. Juve And Hamberg Battle Out Amazing 4-4 Draw. By George Wang. In their first competetive match, Juventus were held to a 4-4 draw by German club Hamberg in the Champions League group stage match. The amazing game displayed great attacking flair by both teams but also showed the defensive frailties for Juventus. Fillippo Inzaghi was in superb form bagging a hat-trick.

Story. Lazio Kicks Off With Win. By George Wang. Serie A champions Lazio kicked off its Champions League campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win away from home to Ukranian side Sharktar Donetsk. Argentine stirker Claudio Lopez continued his good form by scoring one of the three goals for his team.

Story. Real Held By Sporting. By George Wang. Reigning Champions Real madrid could only manage a 2-2 draw versus Sporting Lisbon in Portugal. Sporting took a two nil lead in the first half through Sao Pinto and Andre Cruz. But Real hit back in the second half tying it at 2-2 by goals from Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo. Real is said to be satisfied with the draw.
